My Childhood Friend Still Waits

As a child, a swing was more than a place to play, it was my closest companion. It held my dreams, my worries, and my imagination as I soared beneath the branches, wishing I could fly like the birds I loved so much. When life felt overwhelming, it offered quiet comfort without asking for anything in return.
Even today, an empty swing beneath an old tree reminds me that some places never stop waiting for us. They hold our memories, our innocence, and the part of ourselves that still longs for wonder. Nature has been that place for me, a refuge where the birds still sing, the light still filters through the trees, and my childhood friend still waits
