Embers On The Horizon
30 × 24 in.
Acrylic
This painting came from a place of deep reflection, inspired by the time just after the worst of the COVID pandemic had passed as well as many terrible forest fires in B.C where I grew up. Embers on the Horizon is full of texture and glowing color, it feels like the world is burning, yet somehow, it’s hauntingly beautiful. There’s a strange comfort in the firelight, in the way the embers glow against the darkness. It reminds me that even in moments of loss and upheaval, there can be color, light, and something worth being drawn into.
