Better Together

I’ve always felt a strong connection to birds. Since I was very young, they seemed to find me, especially the wounded ones that needed care. I would bring them home, help them heal, and quietly watch as they grew strong enough to fly again. A part of me always wished I could rise up and fly away with that same sense of freedom.

Birds have come to symbolize tenderness and resilience in my life. In this painting, two chickadees shelter close beneath a single leaf, every hard circumstance feels more tolerable when you have someone you love by your side. Like them, we move through life’s changing weather by staying close and keeping each other warm.

A simple reminder that we are better together.
