Among the Aspens

I live surrounded by aspens and many other varieties of trees, but the aspens have always been my favorite. I love the way they catch the light and seem to glow from within, but even more, I love the quirky faces I find hidden in their bark. Sleepy eyes, quiet smiles, and gentle expressions seem to watch over me as I wander through the woods. They've become familiar companions, reminding me that wonder is often found by those willing to slow down and truly look. My hope is that this painting encourages you to pause, breathe deeply, and perhaps discover a few hidden faces of your own.
